Shapefile with Education and Linquistic indicators for Connecticut census tracts

The shapefile contains the following variables:

1.  FID         -       The unique ID for each record in the table

2.  Shape       -       data shape

3.  CTIDFP00    -       The GIS-compatible Geographic Identifier

4.  Geography   -       Census Tract Number with each county

5.  Pvty_rate   -       Percentage of people below poverty for whom the poverty level has been determined by censustracts (Source: Census 2000)     

6.  Own_rate    -       Percenatge of owner occupied homes in the given housing stock

7.  Z_Pvty_R    -       z-score based on POV_RATE (Formula: (Pvty_rate - Mean)/Standard Deviation)

8.  Z_Own_R     -       z-score based on OWN_RATE (Formula: (Own_rate - Mean)/Standard Deviation)

9. Z_HN_Opp     -       Z-score for opportunity based on Housing and Neighborhood Indicators
                        (Formula: (Z_Pvty_R + Z_Own_R)/2)
